Included with version 1.1 of Network Time is a Control Panel program for administrators of large facilities called Protect Time. Protect Time locks the settings in Network Time so that users of the Network Time cannot change them. To use Protect Time, drag it into the System Folder as you did with Network Time. After you have set-up Network Time with the correct settings, open Protect Time. You may then lock or unlock the settings by clicking on the correct button. The Protect Time Control Panel window will look like this:

  36. After locking Network Time, remove Protect Time from the System Folder. Users will be able to view the settings and click the ╥Set Time╙ button, but will not be able to change the settings. Copies can be made of the locked Network Time.

  39. ResEdit users note: If you prefer, you can use ResEdit to set the ╥locked╙ flag in Network Time. Open Network Time with ResEdit, and open the NTml resource (ID -4048). A template is included. Change the value by clicking on the appropriate button.
